Getting to Adelaide by Train

Ghan Train, travelling between Adelaide and Darwin

Australia is home to two of the world’s greatest long distance train journeys, The Ghan and The Indian Pacific.

The Ghan runs between Adelaide and Darwin via Alice Springs. The Indian Pacific spans the continent between Sydney and Perth via Adelaide. These two trains, together with The Overland, which runs between Melbourne and Adelaide, offer great rail experiences, bringing you to South Australia in comfort and style.

All interstate trains arrive at and depart from Adelaide Parklands Terminal (formerly Keswick Railway Station), which is 3km west of the city centre. Local taxis and shuttle bus services meet every train.
