Adelaide Hills

The Adelaide Hills, only 20 minutes drive from the centre of Adelaide, is often described as a little breath of Tuscany.
Slopes covered in grape vines are interspersed with cherry and apple orchards, giving way to rolling grazing land studded with gum trees.
Enjoy the changing scenery on a scenic drive, pull on your tramping boots and explore the Mount Lofty Ranges, learn more about Australia’s native wildlife or see the Adelaide Hills through the eyes of famous Australian artist Sir Hans Heysen.
The Adelaide Hills is known as Australia’s premier cool climate wine region and there are at least 12 wineries open for tastings. Several have wonderful restaurants, making them a great place to visit for a long, lazy lunch.
A stop at the historic German village of Hahndorf is a must – offering art and craft galleries, antique shops, German bakeries and small goods outlets, chocolate shops, pubs, cafes and a fantastic cheese cellar.
Linger longer with an overnight stay in a boutique B&B or for something really special, plan your visit to coincide with one of our great events.
