Chain of Ponds

The winery takes its name from the township of Chain of Ponds which was established in 1864, on the banks of the River Torrens in the hills above Adelaide.
The little town thrived until the 1970’s when it was razed to expand the adjacent Millbrook reservoir which now provides much of Adelaide’s water supply.
You can easily imagine yourself in the rolling hills of Italy, as you sit with a glass of wine and a Tuscan platter watching a friendly game of Petanque on the immaculately presented Piste.
Adjacent to the cellar door is an 1880s bluestone cottage, which has been lovingly restored and beautifully decorated. The Vineyard Cottage is a non-hosted Bed and Breakfast and can accommodate up to four couples in the one group.
