Wine & Food Tasting

With good wine comes great food, and there’s certainly no shortage of either in the Adelaide Hills.
This region is known as Australia’s premier cool climate wine region and there are at least 12 wineries open for tastings.
Several of the wineries have wonderful restaurants attached, making them a great place to visit for a long lazy lunch. The Hills have a wonderful selection of quality restaurants and cafes, known for serving locally grown produce. A highlight is a long lunch at Bridgewater Mill, which has been awarded South Australia’s best restaurant.
The Adelaide Hills has a strong pub culture, and these are often a great option for lunch or dinner.
The Stanley Bridge Tavern at Verdun is full of character and has an excellent wine list.
The Aldgate Pump and Stirling Hotels are local favourites, the Lobethal Bierhaus offers its own special all-grain brew, while the German Arms Hotel and the Hahndorf Inn offer a taste of the region’s German heritage.
