It’s all-delicious because it’s all as fresh as the ocean air. Here’s your guide to Eyre Peninsula’s seafood:
January - December
Abalone - wild catch and farmed.
Finfish, farmed: Yellowtail Kingfish and Mulloway.
Finfish, wild catch: King George Whiting, Flathead, Tommies, Shark (Flake), Hapuka, Blue-eye, Ling, Red Snapper (Nannygai), Queen Snapper (blue Morwong).
Also Cockles and Mussels (seasonal variations).
December - March
Oysters (Oysters naturally spawn between December and March). Non-spawning oysters (Triploids) available December to March.
April - September, Tuna
November and December, Prawns
March - June, Pilchards
August - May, Sand Crabs
September - May, Garfish
