Golf
Can’t play golf in the Outback? Don’t you believe it.
Coober Pedy Golf Club
It’s a golf course without grass. The Coober Pedy course consists of small patches of artificial grass surrounded by massive amounts of sand. Make sure your clothes are dust proof.
Port Augusta Golf Club
The club boasts 18 fully grassed fairways and greens. The course is available all year round but may be closed on certain occasions for special competition.
Nullarbor Links Golf Course
The longest golf course in the world is the Nullarbor Links. This 18-hole par 72 golf course spans 1,365 kilometres with one hole in each participating town or roadhouse along the Eyre Highway, from Kalgoorlie in Western Australia to Ceduna in South Australia and vice versa. Each hole will include a green and tee and somewhat rugged outback-style natural terrain fairway. The course provides a quintessential Australian experience and a much-needed activity/attraction for travelers along the renowned desolate highway.
