Monarto Zoo is a 1,000 hectare open-range sanctuary undertaking a major role nationally and internationally in breeding programs for rare and endangered species.
It is the only Zoological Park in Australia combining the concept of zoo and natural wilderness areas into one centre, for the conservation of wildlife and nature.
A visit here is like going on an African safari. Giraffes, lions, rhinoceros, zebra, antelopes, cheetahs and ostrich roam freely in an outstanding setting and you can see them all on a safari bus or walking tour.
