Parks & Gardens
Wonderful gardens and spectacular parks

Adelaide is often described as the “city in a park”. It boasts 29 parks, which account for 45 per cent of the total city area.
The Adelaide Botanic Garden is home to the spectacular Bicentennial Conservatory (housing a complete tropical rainforest!) and the International Rose Garden.
There are wonderful gardens all across South Australia including the Chateau Barrosa rose garden with more than 25,000 rose bushes; the award-winning Timandra Garden in Clare Valley; Mount Lofty Botanic Garden in the Adelaide Hills; and the 250-hectare Australian Arid Lands Botanic Garden in the Flinders Ranges.
Visitors can also check out some of South Australia’s best private gardens on specified days through Australia’s Open Garden Scheme.
