Kangaroo Island

Kangaroo Island (known locally as KI) is arguably the best place in Australia to see the widest range of Australian native animals in their natural habitats. In fact it could even be considered Australia’s fourth icon!

Dramatic coastal scenery, secluded pristine beaches and wildlife in its natural environment can be found all over the island, which runs approx 155 kms long by 55 kms wide.

There are several ways to do day trips to the island, but to truly experience this remarkable place, staying for at least 2 or 3 nights is highly recommended. Take a coach tour from Adelaide, a 30 minute flight or hire a rental car, however you choose to explore Australia’s third largest island you won’t be disappointed!
